TAMPA, FL – The average pay for employees working the floor at TJ Maxx and other companies listed below are all under $9/hr with contrasting annual pay for CEO’s hitting well above the million mark.
Is it fair for CEO’s to make this much? According to the math, it’s a negligible amount compared to the amount of workers the companies employ. Let me explain.
Lets take the CEO’s pay for TJ Maxx as an example. If we take his annual salary of 22.2 million and disperse it to the 147,459 workers, they would only get an additional $152 a year.
However, let us take a look at the net income at TJ Max. If you take 2.1 billion (net income) and divide it up among the workers, including the CEO (147,450) everyone would get an addition $14,241 this year.
That said, it would be very thoughtful if the board members would all agree to give out bonus checks at Christmas time to all the hard working employees, including the CEO, for doing such a great job.
