NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Strand Apartments share the same newly renovated building with Starwood-brand Aloft hotel at the corner of Baronne and Gravier in New Orleans, LA.
HRI Construction was the company contracted for the renovations of the former office building with a cost or around $100-million.
The name ‘Strand’ comes from the former Strand movie theater that was demolished to make way for the 1962 skyscraper that now houses the Aloft and Strand.
The Strand has 192 apartments in the upper half with thirteen floors 18-30. The Aloft hotel takes up 188 rooms in the lower half with seven floors 11-17.
