The Patriot Fire Rescue Boat pumps water equal to nine fire trucks

CHANNEL DISTRICT/TAMPA, FL – The 69-foot Patriot Fire Boat, owned by the Tampa Bay Fire Department, can pump as much as 13,500 gallons of water per minute and shoot it a distance of 100 feet.

To put this amount into perspective, it would take nine fire trucks simultaneously pumping water at a maximum rate to equal this amount water.

The Fire Rescue crew helps passenger vessels, cargo ships and small boats in the Port of Tampa and others when they need assistance.
