PADUCAH, KY – Paducah’s Let it Glow Christmas Parade had around 100 floats that traveled the opposite direction on Broadway towards the river from 14th to 2nd on December 2nd. It started around 5pm and ended around 7pm.

This years theme was Let it Glow, Let it Glow, Let it Glow. Music and lights were required for all participants.

It was a wonderful site to see all the people watching the glowing-musical floats from the balconies, restaurants and from the sidewalks as well.

PADUCAH, KY – Christmas in Noble Park, sponsored by Paducah Power, is the yearly event that turns the park into a Christmas wonderland. And with a half million lights attached to hundreds of animated characters and everything-Christmas, it covers most of the 135 acres of land that makes up park.

To see the lights, you just need to drive through the entrance of Noble Park at Park Avenue and that’s it. The road takes you through the entire park and circles you back to the exit at Park Avenue.

It’s free but please help by donating money or nonperishable foods (like can goods) at the Santa House that sits a ways in on your right.

The donations go to St. Vincent DePaul Society, Family Service Society, Paducah Cooperative Ministry and the Salvation Army.  The Annual Christmas in the Park 2016 raised $43,752 and 66,893 pounds of food.

Noble Park is beautiful in the day but on a moonlit night in concert with a half million twinkling lights, it becomes a Magical place and all for a good cause.

PADUCAH, KY – The William Clark Market House Museum features local history in a 9th-century drugstore along with a gift shop located in historic downtown Paducah.

I took some pictures to show a few things that are in this magical building. There is so much more to see such as the antiquated fire truck and three other rooms I didn’t photograph at all.

Please support this local gem by visiting the next time you feel the need to explore the history of this wonderful town.

I wanted to thank the nicest lady ever that did the voiceover and showed me around. You have a great voice!

PADUCAH, KY – People gathered to watch The American Queen depart from Paducah’s riverfront last night on November 4th, 2017.

This mighty five-story vessel is the biggest riverboat ever built and more like a floating luxury hotel than a riverboat.

Watching riverboats, barges and other boats travel up and the down the Ohio River is relaxing and one of the many things you can when you visiting downtown Paducah.

Last night there were more than a few cars along the Foot of Broadway waiting for the cruiser to take sail. It’s departure was scheduled for 5:00 pm but it was closer to 6:00 pm when it finally left.
