Mo. State Rep. Shamed Dogan Announced Jan. 15th as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Day

MO. State Representative Shamed Dogan presented a House Resolution to Lonita Blackman, President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Gamma Omega Chapter which designated January 15th of every year as “Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Day.”

Rep. Dogan also announced February 10 as “Ethel Hedgeman Lyle Day” and the third week of September as “Historically Black College and University Week” in Missouri. Lastly he added that Juneteenth is now Officially marked as State Holiday in Missouri.

The announcement was during the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Gamma Omega Chapter’s SophistAKAted Sunday Nights celebration at Lakeside Cafe’ in the St. Louis Zoo on June 12, 2022.

This event was amazing as were the people. I was treated like royalty with free drinks and food that was so fancy, I can’t even pronounced the names 🙂 I love AKA Gamma Omega St. Louis Chapter.
