SOUTH SHORE/SUN CITY CENTER, FL – There was a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new 2020 Center in Kings Point, Sun City Center, FL. The 3 minute video above shows the ribbon cutting ceremony and a short tour of the new building.

The ceremony took place at Kings Point’s annual Spring Fling Festival that was held outside today (March 20, 2015) on the lawn at the North Clubhouse.

Jim Haggerty, president of the Federation of Kings Point Associations, held the big scissors while Vice President Wayne Musholte did the actual cutting with the smaller ones.

Vesta with the KP Board worked diligently to get this done and we all owe them a token of gratitude for seeing this through. The building is big and the gym, “Was like being in a candy store” said one of the fitness trainers earlier this morning.

2020 CENTER ALMOST DONE: 25,000 square feet
There is a 3,500-square-foot gym filled with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, one huge fitness/dance studio room and a smaller one to the left of the lobby. There is a full salon, meeting rooms upstairs and a class room with a full kitchen where residents can learn new recipes.

I didn’t photograph the whole building so there is more to see, especially in the salon section. A staff member told me that the building was still not completely done, however. Exact opening date for the residents will be announced by Vesta.

For more information you can call the Kings Point Clubhouse front desk at 387‐3439.
