HISTORY: The Armory District building was built in 1938 and housed the 138th Infantry of the Missouri National Guard for decades. It later became a breeding ground for some the best tennis players in the nation’s history. Recreational soccer and softball games were played here along with legendary performances by Tina Turner and the Grateful Dead.
