Niko Giocchini and Joakim Nilsson, soccer players for St. Louis CITY SC, teamed up with Ameren and Alderman Rasheen Aldridge to volunteer to distribute 500 LED porch lights in the Carr Square Neighborhood in St. Louis City.
And we can thank to good people at Ameren who donates a certain amount of LED lights for every goal scored by our St. Louis CITY SC soccer team.

You know it’s something when you’re on the field you don’t necessarily think about it when you score goals. But when you realize after that game what it can do and how it can help, it gives a whole new life and meaning to it.
Scoring goals is great personally and great for the club but when we see it helps more than that, it’s heartwarming. We want a lovely world…a world full of love and starting with this is definitely a great point. Bringing light to places is always a positive thing.
Love, we hear it everyday at the facility, especially our PR Department. They talk about how good they feel and how people come together because of what we do. That’s the most important part of sports is to bring people together.

Everyone met at DeSoto Park at 3:30 p.m. to get last minute instructions, but the main rule was smile and have fun.
