St. Louis, MO. Monday, May 29, 2023: A man was fatally shot Monday on Memorial Day early in morning near a once homeless encampment at North Leonor K. Sullivan Boulevard and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. The unidentified man later died in a hospital.
St. Louis, MO. Saturday, May 27, 2023: Another body was found during Memorial weekend at the St. Louis riverfront on Saturday evening where the River Boat Cruises dock on 50 South Leonor K Sullivan Boulevard.
According to records at the SLPD, there were 12 murders in April 2023 vs 14 murders in April 2022. Even though one murder is too many, there is progress which gives us hope that it can get better in our city.
