METROPOLIS, IL – Save The Massac Theater fund raiser campaign is ongoing in Superman neighborhood of Metropolis, IL.
The Massac Theatre was built in 1938, owned by R. C. Cluster of Salem, Illinois. The Architect that designed the yellow Art Deco style building was O. W. Steigemeyer of St. Louis.. The plan was to compliment the Post Office next door.
It was Archie Bethel of Mount Carmel, Illinois that was contracted to decorated the inside that is now in disrepair as well.
