A TikTok user has sparked outrage after posting a video urging people to “shoot at ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] agents on sight.” The disturbing video, shared by user belal_donq, encourages individuals to take violent action against ICE agents if they attempt to detain someone.
“Shoot at ICE agents on sight. That’s right. If ICE agents are trying to take you or a loved one, shoot them on sight,” belal_donq states in the video.
He further claims that ICE agents have been appearing in masks, driving unmarked vehicles, and lacking badges, arguing that they could be anyone, including gang members.
“The way they’re pulling up with masks on, with unmarked vehicles, no badge, no nothing. It could be anybody. It can be gang members. You have every right to shoot at them,” he adds. “This would be the best self-defense case. You’re just in fear for your life. You don’t know who’s behind that unmarked vehicle or who’s behind that mask.”
In the video, the user questions the motives of ICE agents, asking why anyone would want to work for the agency if they are involved in separating families or deporting students.
“What is our country coming to? Why would you want to be an ICE agent anyway? Do you like separating kids from their parents? Do you like deporting students that are studying?” he asks. “I can understand deporting a gang member or criminals. But innocent people. It’s ridiculous.”
The video ends with belal_donq advising, “You might as well shoot them on sight and have your day in court.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem responded by sharing the video and condemning the message. “If you threaten or attempt to harm a law enforcement officer, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” Noem wrote on X.
Following inquiries from Fox News Digital, the user appeared to remove the video from TikTok.
National Border Patrol Council Vice President Hector Garza condemned the video, calling the message “dangerous” and asserting that it “incites real-world violence.” He emphasized that law enforcement officers, including ICE agents, put their lives on the line every day and should not have to fear being targeted for doing their jobs.
“The National Border Patrol Council unequivocally condemns any form of violence or threats directed at federal law enforcement officers, including our colleagues at ICE,” Garza stated. “I urge all social media platforms to take swift and decisive action against content that promotes violence.”
Garza also reminded that free speech does not extend to inciting criminal acts, adding that allowing such content to remain online endangers lives.
This incident follows the removal of the “#CartelTok” hashtag from TikTok’s search engine, after cartel members were found using the platform to promote their crimes and recruit human smugglers. TikTok has also removed profiles of known cartel or gang leaders who violated the platform’s policies.
Representatives for Snapchat, TikTok, and Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, have previously stated that they have policies in place to remove content promoting violence and criminal activity.
