Jon-Pierre Mitchom began the interview by saying, “I am running for the 7th Ward. I grew up in the Tiffany neighborhood, right there in South City. I am originally from East St. Louis. We moved over here when I was about in 2nd grade. I went on to go to school at the University of Illinois Chicago; I played ball there.”

Bosley asked, “Were you any good?”
JP Mitchom said, ” Well, when I graduated high school I was one of the top five players in the state.
Bosley: “What high school was that?”
JP Mitchom: “I went to Ladue High School, but I played ball for the St. Louis Eagles.
Bosley: “So tell people why they should elect you.”
JP Mitchom: I have been doing a lot of work in the community for a number of years.
