The battle over Wi-Fi access has reached a shocking new level. Three teenagers in West Harris County were arrested Monday morning after allegedly attempting to kill their own mother—all because she turned off the internet.
Violent Outburst Over Wi-Fi Shutdown
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that deputies responded to a home following reports of a violent domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers found three siblings—ages 14, 15, and 16—who had reportedly flown into a fit of rage after their mother cut off their Wi-Fi access.
The lack of internet access sent them into an uncontrollable fury, pushing them to commit an unthinkable act.
Teens Attack Their Mother with Knives
According to Sheriff Gonzalez, the teens grabbed kitchen knives and chased their mother through the house and out into the street. At some point, they even struck her with a brick.
As if that weren’t horrifying enough, their grandmother was also knocked down while trying to protect her daughter. Fortunately, both women escaped without serious injuries.
All three teens were arrested and now face felony charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Let that sink in—felony charges over Wi-Fi!
While further details remain undisclosed, this shocking incident carries an unsettling lesson: cutting the Wi-Fi might cause drama, but no internet access is ever worth violence.
