PADUCAH, KY – Herb Roe, one of the five artists involved in Paducah’s floodwall mural project, was busy touching up one of the murals along S. Waters Street in downtown Paducah, KY.

Mr. Roe humbly allowed me to take his photo for this blog and we even exchanged cards. Today the murals that span three city blocks are considered to be one of Kentucky’s most popular tourist attraction.

After taking his picture, I watch him touching up the mural just for a few seconds before leaving and wonder if he has any idea the joy that myself and others find when when we gazed upon these magical works.

Thank you Herb for being so kind and for keeping Paducah’s floodwall so beautiful.
