Halle Berry is an American actress, model, and producer. She is the first and only black woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress.
Berry was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1966. She began her career as a model and entered several beauty contests, finishing as the first runner-up in the Miss USA pageant and coming in sixth in the Miss World 1986. Her breakthrough film role was in the romantic comedy Boomerang (1992), alongside Eddie Murphy. She has since starred in films such as X-Men (2000), Die Another Day (2002), Monster’s Ball (2001), and Catwoman (2004).
Berry has been married three times: to David Justice (1993-1997), Eric Benét (2001-2005), and Olivier Martinez (2013-2016). She has one daughter, Nahla, from her relationship with Gabriel Aubry.
