METROPOLIS, IL – The FARM FRENZY was a free event that literally brought the farm to the people that included a petting zoo in Washington Park, huge farm equipment that spanned a block and agricultural activities downstairs inside the Metropolis Library.
I talk with Marc who is a local farmer who brought some of the biggest farm equipment I have ever seen that was attractively displayed on the street like a car show. He brought some animals that were in a gated area where people could interact and pet the animals as well.
I wanted to personally thank Marc for showing me how to feed potato chips to Jenny the Donkey. That was thrilling since I have never done it before. I was a bit nervous at first though 🙂
Sponsored by the Massac County Farm Bureau Young Farmers Committee in cooperation with staff from the Metropolis Public Library.
