Delmar Garden Apartments at Kingsland Ave. and Delmar Blvd. in The Delmar Loop in University City is getting renovated. From 1996 to 2017, Cicero’s, a popular Italian restaurant, resided in this 7,000 square ft. eatery that had over 400 free parking spaces right in back. For more details and leasing you can read the brochure.
There are still remnants of Cicero’s scattered around the place such as signs, refrigerators, stainless steel kitchen equipment and the like.
The 4-story building first opened in 1950 with retail on the 1st floor and 36 apartments on the other three floors. Not much has change since then with the exception of a few updates and renovations. This beautiful building has a lot of history and memories imbedded in its walls and has played a big part in the success of The Delmar Loop for decades. I can’t wait to see what is going on the first floor in the near future…….
