PADUCAH, KY – The Lofts Apartments will consist of six residential units slated to be built on the upper three floors of the 4-story American German National Bank building at 227 Broadway in historic downtown Paducah, KY.
Centurion Development, owner of the 4-story bank building, plans to invest around $800,000 for renovations. The first floor is planned for commercial use.
The Loft Apartments will be located right across the street from the new Reside Apartments, Citizens Gym and FreshWater Bar. This once vacant corner was creatively renovated in 2017 and now looks beautiful.
PADUCAH, KY – The first snowfall in Paducah happened on January 12, 2018. There was a layer of ice covered with snow so everyone was being extra cautious driving nice and slow.
The city did a great job keeping the roads clear downtown as you can see in the photos. Even though, many businesses were closed and some opened but closed early that day. The 24-hour McDonald’s on Hinkleville Road was closed when I drove by it around 5:30 pm as well.
The good news was that Dry Ground Brewery announced earlier that day that they would not be closing since people still drink beer when it snows. That one put a smile of my face. Loved it!
The photos below were taken on January 12, 2018 around 5:15 PM in downtown Paducah with a temp around 19 degrees.
