PADUCAH, KY – Sears is permanently closing tonight (March 19, 2017) that was part of the Kentucky Oaks Mall since 1983 in Paducah, KY.
The Paducah store was one of the 150 stores around the nation closing due to low sales.
PADUCAH, KY – These beautiful, magical-3D murals, painted by muralists Dafford, Roe and others, turned a dull-grey concrete wall into one of the best art displays in the United States located along the Mighty Ohio River in one of America’s best small towns, Paducah, KY.
The murals span three city blocks in the heart of downtown. The actual floodwall is 12.5 miles long built after the flood of 1937.
The murals are flawlessly maintained that have bronze interpretive-panels at the foot of each painting that tell the history for that particular time.
Today the painted floodwall is Kentucky’s most popular tourist attraction located a few mile east of I-24 – a must see when passing through.
The IC 2-8-2 1518 Mikado steam locomotive that sits along the floodwall is the only one in existance today, donated by the City Of Paducah.

The first LongHorn Steakhouse opened in 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia with a man on a quest to make the perfect steak. Longhorn is now a global franchise, purchased by Darden Restaurants in 2007.
