SEPT 2016 – The concrete framed structure reaches five floors. Franklin Manor night spot opens across the street on Sept 3, 2016.

Riverwalk Tower, Tampa, FL

DOWNTOWN TAMPA, FL – Riverwalk Tower will be mixed use skyscraper at 627 feet with 52-stories located on the former Trump Tower property at the corner of Ashley Drive S. and E. Brorein in downtown Tampa, FL.

The new 52-story tower will be the tallest building in Tampa once finished. The tallest building at the present is the Regions building (579 ft) that sits just north about a block away.

Riverwalk Tower LLC purchased the grassy lot along with the adjacent CapTrust building for $12,050,000 on November 24, 2015 from Brownstone Tampa Partners LLC according to Hillsborough County records.

The apartment complex will have restaurants and retail spaces on the ground level. The property is part of Tampa’s Block grant section that sits across the street from the historic Kress building.

DPR Construction began demolition of the 900 block of Franklin Street on Dec 15, 2015.

Plans were submitted in January 2016 to renovate the building across the street at 912 Franklin as well.

Model streetcar displayed along tracks at Channelside Bay Plaza

CHANNELSIDE / TAMPA, FL – NOV 30, 2015: A streetcar sculpture featuring the history of Tampa will be displayed for about a year along the tracks that run up and down Channelside Drive in front of Hooters restaurant in Tampa, FL.

The model streetcar was brilliantly painted by Artist Tim Boatright and sponsored by Franklin Street Properties.

The miniature streetcars placed around the downtown area was an artLOUD Project called the Streetcar Sculpture Challenge that was organized by the CREW Of Tampa Bay.

Sacred Heart Church, Tampa, Florida

DOWNTOWN TAMPA, FL – NOV 27, 2015:  Sacred Heart Church broke ground on February 16, 1898 and was dedicated on January 15, 1905 in downtown Tampa, FL.

The Romanesque-style structure cost $300,000 to build at the time and is one of the oldest churches in Tampa today.
