PADUCAH, KY – The TGI Friday’s restaurant on 5050 Hinkleville Road in Paducah permanently closed its doors on January 29, 2018.
Willis Hendren, Vice President of Operations, stated, “We closed for financial reasons. The lease was up soon so we decided to go ahead and close it. ”
Mr. Hendren was sincere and was clearly saddened. He added, “It’s a tough part of business. There was lots of severance paid out; that’s the only positive.” The severance pay was tenure-based and substantial for the industry.
Today TGI Friday’s reads closed on google.com/maps. Administrators for TGI Friday’s website have already deleted the location from its database as well. There are five remaining restaurants operating in Kentucky to date.
I wanted to personally thank Willis for being so kind. I am so sorry about the closing.
