DOWNTOWN / TAMPA, FL – NOV 9, 2015: Nationally celebrated artists, Leon Ales ‘Bask‘ Hostomsky of St. Petersburg and ‘Tes One‘ Bedore of Tampa, were commissioned by City Hall to paint a whimsical theme called ‘Stay Curious’ on the William F. Poe Parking Garage adjacent to the Museum of Art in downtown Tampa, FL.

The garage needed to painted this year but honorary Mayor Buckhorn had this great idea to spruce it up a bit.

I hadn’t been downtown for a while but I immediately noticed the colorful artwork while crossing over the Cass Street Bridge.

It was a wonderful site. Tes One & Bask had turned a lifeless parking garage into a an extraordinary work of art.

Tes One and Bask recently painted a few whimsical murals on roll-up doors in the Hyde Park Village shopping center along Swann Ave earlier this year.

See Bask & Tes One’s POUND & A BEAR HUG 2015 exhibit at the Contemporary Art Space & Studio (CASS) in Tampa, FL.

You can read about the making of the Poe Garage project and details in an article written by Christina Barker, Special Assistant to the Mayor.
