In July of 2023, there were 1,447,800 jobs in the Metro Saint Louis area with a population just under 3,000,000. This number is based on the seasonally adjusted monthly data from the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (SELDP).

A study done by McKinsey Global Institute found that up to 800 million jobs could be lost due to automation by 2030. This is a job loss of around 30 percent on average around the world.
At any given time there are about 500,000 homeless in the U.S. In seven years, we could possibly have this many homeless or unhoused in St. Louis alone.
