PADUCAH, KY – The first snowfall in Paducah happened on January 12, 2018. There was a layer of ice covered with snow so everyone was being extra cautious driving nice and slow.
The city did a great job keeping the roads clear downtown as you can see in the photos. Even though, many businesses were closed and some opened but closed early that day. The 24-hour McDonald’s on Hinkleville Road was closed when I drove by it around 5:30 pm as well.
The good news was that Dry Ground Brewery announced earlier that day that they would not be closing since people still drink beer when it snows. That one put a smile of my face. Loved it!
