NEW ORLEANS, LA – 1031 Canal is a 17-story mixed-use luxury apartment tower currently under construction on the corner of Canal and N Rampart Streets in New Orleans, LA.

This is the former location of the old 1940s building where Woolworth’s once resided, where the lunch counter demonstrations took place during the civil rights movement in the 1960s.

The building was in disrepair and was eventually demolished to make way for the new $70 million apartment highrise.

Developing the property is Mohan Kailas from Kailas Company that specialize real estate development and property management.
